  1. You are right that no one can predict if the economy will tank. I can though prepare for losing my job by not overextending myself.

  2. Sorry but you can’t predict YEARS in advance wether you’ll be able to or not to afford kids. A lot of people started out having kids they COULD afford provided the economy didn’t tank and you can’t predict when it will or will not. But then it did and since no one got the warning before they gave birth NOW it looks like they had kids they couldn’t afford. It’s not like the economy tanked and they went ahead and had kids anyway.

  3. :20 Don’t have three children if you can not afford to have that many children.

  4. “Ever been raped? Yeah!” Damn. 2:15 Once I get out of debt I will never come back into it again. Debt is a scum of the Earth tactics for modern day slave trade. Just remember that nothing is free in this world.

  5. yeeeha

  6. I bet if a debt collector could get away with breaking people’s legs they would!

  7. it’s easy to judge people in debt, but there’s so many different stories and reasons people get into debt. People need to know there’s help out there and collectors can’t harass you

  8. They are all lair of course they lie to save their ass on the job. If they tell the truth then they will get fire.

  9. how did oprah come into this, you should go to college, your not going to go that far on a high schoool diploma…….especially nowadays. Going to school is more of an investment that pays back if you dothe right thing, but most people go to school, then travel( debt), get married ( debt), buy cars and electronics with the new house ( more debt). and then become shocked when their 100,000 grand in debt. Dont blame oprah, blame poeple who abuse the use of credit.

a tasty meal for the loan sharks.
    caveat emptor.

  11. Oprah has done a lot of damage to young people by telling them to go to college and not warning them about student loan debt — she is just as bad as any of these collectors.

  12. im a debt collector, and i run a straight/gay/lesbian/anything goes whore agency. everybody wins !

  13. OMG! that is too hilarious. people owe debt. collectors break the law. the people in debt sue the collectors and get more money than they owed in the first place. i guess that’s one way to pay off your debt. sue the people you owed it to. lol

  14. continued- My finances since the divorce were still “OK”, but some months I just paid minimum payments on some cards to meet budget. It took 6 years for my balances to “sneak” up above $20K. Now, even though I pay triple the minimum payment they still soak up THOUSANDS A YEAR in interest and fees. I can’t imagine being young and having $25K on cards and no savings. It’s an expensive nightmare to get out from under…

  15. For the 25+ years I was married we ALWAYS paid full balances of our CC’s every month. Cards were convenient and perfect for record keeping. Putting the kids through college, paying for 2 weddings, everything went on the cards. We STILL paid full balances every month. For over a quarter century CC’s were wonderful and didn’t cost us anything. I know it CAN be done because I did it. Now, following a lengthy divorce my CC balances slowly grew to $20K plus. NOW I “get it”! They’re sharks…

  16. ever been raped? yeeahhhhhhhhh

  17. Here’s how you start to fix all these problems

    Everyone.
Take that credit card and cut it up.
Call them and cancel the account.
Dont just stop useing it because they are working on a new penalty charge for “NOT USING” your card.
they will crap themselves when 40 million people call them up.. Then they wont have a choice but to fix it. Its as easy as that…

I declare March 1st 2010 the day we all call your card Co and take control.. pass it on.
